God Will Remember Zion

14 (A)But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me,
And my Lord has forgotten me.”

15 “Can(B) a woman forget her nursing child,
[a]And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
(C)Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, (D)I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.
17 Your [b]sons shall make haste;
Your destroyers and those who laid you waste
Shall go away from you.
18 (E)Lift up your eyes, look around and see;
All these gather together and come to you.
As I live,” says the Lord,
“You shall surely clothe yourselves with them all (F)as an ornament,
And bind them on you as a bride does.

19 “For your waste and desolate places,
And the land of your destruction,
(G)Will even now be too small for the inhabitants;
And those who swallowed you up will be far away.
20 (H)The children you will have,
(I)After you have lost the others,
Will say again in your ears,
‘The place is too small for me;
Give me a place where I may dwell.’
21 Then you will say in your heart,
‘Who has begotten these for me,
Since I have lost my children and am desolate,
A captive, and wandering to and fro?
And who has brought these up?
There I was, left alone;
But these, where were they?’ ”

22 (J)Thus says the Lord God:

“Behold, I will lift My hand in an oath to the nations,
And set up My [c]standard for the peoples;
They shall bring your sons in their [d]arms,
And your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders;
23 (K)Kings shall be your foster fathers,
And their queens your nursing mothers;
They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth,
And (L)lick up the dust of your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord,
(M)For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”

24 (N)Shall the prey be taken from the mighty,
Or the captives [e]of the righteous be delivered?

25 But thus says the Lord:

“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away,
And the prey of the terrible be delivered;
For I will contend with him who contends with you,
And I will save your children.
26 I will (O)feed those who oppress you with their own flesh,
And they shall be drunk with their own (P)blood as with sweet wine.
All flesh (Q)shall know
That I, the Lord, am your Savior,
And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Marriage and Divorce(A)

10 Then (B)He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes gathered to Him again, and as He was accustomed, He taught them again.

(C)The Pharisees came and asked Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” testing Him.

And He answered and said to them, “What did Moses command you?”

They said, (D)“Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her.

And Jesus answered and said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this [a]precept. But from the beginning of the creation, God (E)‘made them male and female.’ (F)‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

10 In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter. 11 So He said to them, (G)“Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her. 12 And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

Jesus Blesses Little Children(H)

13 (I)Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for (J)of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Assuredly, I say to you, (K)whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will (L)by no means enter it.” 16 And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.

Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler(M)

17 (N)Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I (O)do that I may inherit eternal life?”

18 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, (P)God. 19 You know the commandments: (Q)‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’

20 And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have (R)kept from my youth.”

21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, (S)sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have (T)treasure in heaven; and come, (U)take up the cross, and follow Me.”

22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

With God All Things Are Possible(V)

23 (W)Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is [b]for those (X)who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a (Y)rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

26 And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?”

27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not (Z)with God; for with God all things are possible.”

28 (AA)Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.”

29 So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother [c]or wife or children or [d]lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, 30 (AB)who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with (AC)persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 (AD)But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

He awakens Me morning by morning,
He awakens My ear

The Lord God (C)has opened My ear;
And I was not (D)rebellious,
Nor did I turn away.
(E)I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And (F)My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and (G)spitting.

Therefore I will not be disgraced;
Therefore (H)I have set My face like a flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed.
(I)He is near who justifies Me;
Who will contend with Me?
Let us stand together.
Who is [a]My adversary?
Let him come near Me.
Surely the Lord God will help Me;
Who is he who will condemn Me?
(J)Indeed they will all grow old like a garment;
(K)The moth will eat them up.

Who obeys the voice of His Servant?

And has no light?
(M)Let him trust in the name of the Lord
And rely upon his God.

The Time Is Near

Then he said to me, (A)“These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the [a]holy prophets (B)sent His angel to show His servants the things which must (C)shortly take place.

(D)“Behold, I am coming quickly! (E)Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Now I, John, [b]saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, (F)I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

Then he said to me, (G)“See that you do not do that. [c]For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 (H)And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, (I)for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him [d]be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”

Jesus Testifies to the Churches

12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and (J)My reward is with Me, (K)to give to every one according to his work. 13 (L)I am the Alpha and the Omega, the [e]Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

14 (M)Blessed are those who [f]do His commandments, that they may have the right (N)to the tree of life, (O)and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 [g]But (P)outside are (Q)dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

16 (R)“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. (S)I am the Root and the Offspring of David, (T)the Bright and Morning Star.”

17 And the Spirit and (U)the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” (V)And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

A Warning

18 [h]For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: (W)If anyone adds to these things, [i]God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, (X)God[j] shall take away his part from the [k]Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I Am Coming Quickly

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be [l]with you all. Amen.
